Latest Desexing Information

While early desexing is a practice we personally support, we recognise that veterinary standards across Australia are evolving and NO EARLY DESEXING practices are now being implemented as “best practice” on a national level.

In response to these changes, all Siratsa kittens will be placed under a Sale & Desexing Agreement. By taking possession of your kitten from us, you are confirming your full understanding of and agreement with these terms.

Under this agreement, your kitten must be desexed between 5 and 8 months of age at a registered veterinary clinic of your choice. This provides families with a generous window to choose a vet they trust and to schedule the procedure at a time that best suits their kitten’s development. A copy of the desexing certificate must be provided to us once the procedure has been completed and before your kitten reaches 8 months of age, unless an alternative arrangement has been agreed to by us in writing.

To ensure this change is fair and does not place an additional financial burden on our families, our kitten prices have been deliberately adjusted and reduced by up to $500 to offset the cost of desexing.
